Estate Agents and Letting Agents Social Media 2013.

Should Estate Agents and Letting Agents really bother with Social Media?

For those agencies who are not using the likes of Facebook and Twitter we recommend them spending a few minutes reviewing these platforms and counting the amount of their local and national competitors that are using them. This is usually sufficient to make most agencies think to themselves that they may indeed be missing out on the biggest shift on digital marketing ever.

Social Media Facts: Estate and Letting Agents are interacting between themselves, sharing ideas and feedback. Agencies are interacting with service providers to the industry and acquiring great deals and advice some of which are exclusively offered on Social Media. Even the major property portals such as Zoopla, RightMove and Primelocation are using Social Media as well as industry bodies such as RICS, NAEA, ARLA etc. If you are looking for the best printing deals, office staff, agency softwares, training or even to enter your agency for one of the industry awards, it’s happening on Social Media.

Importantly, your target audience is also on Social Media. Those who may purchase property, rent, lease or require a new mortgage, those who’ve questions to ask, interaction to seek or feedback to leave. A well maintained target audience allows for your agency to release updates countless times per week with the gaurantee that an active following will read what you have to say. Remember, it isn’t simply about updating your latest property listings, it’s a lot more such as recommending why your local town is the place to be living, standard of local schooling, latest planning issues that may effect the local public and much more besides… You want your agency to be seen as the experts within the local community, the agency who are easy to contact and receive advice from, quite simply, you want to be the agency that people go to for quality advice and service.

Still not convinced that your agency should be investing time and a marketing budget in to Social Media? Then follow our dedicated Social Media accounts and keep up to date with what is happening in the industry:
